Details of the incident

The attack occurred through unauthorized access to the exchange's wallet (digital wallet) at around 1:26 p.m. As a result of the incident, DMM Bitcoin immediately took measures to strengthen security:

  • Opening of new accounts has been suspended
  • All cryptocurrency withdrawals stopped
  • New spot trading orders blocked for the time being

However, there may be delays with existing limit orders and withdrawals in Japanese yen.
