Gryphon Digital Mining uses completely renewable energy

Gryphon Digital Mining, a publicly traded Bitcoin mining company, has announced that it uses 100% renewable energy for its mining operations, as confirmed in a review by CarbonChain, an organization that tracks corporate carbon emissions.

CarbonChain Renewable Energy Report

CarbonChain’s report revealed that Gryphon used 100% renewable energy in 2024 and 98% in 2023.

Statement from the CEO

The company's CEO, Rob Chang, stressed the importance of transparency in renewable energy usage and the role of third-party verification in ensuring the accuracy of Gryphon's claims. Chang also pointed to the benefits of their operations to the local economy in Massena, New York, where their mining is based entirely on hydroelectric power through a hosting agreement with Coinmint. This has supposedly contributed to economic stability and effective energy utilization in the region.
